unexpected

going into creating this painting i had one idea, which was to revamp a past digital illustration i created and bring it to life in a large painting…but then i wasn’t feeling it and truthfully, got bored with the process of it.

so instead, i poured some paint over it and splattered it with colors, letting the drips go where they decide to and working off of them from there. after the free flowing practice of letting the abstraction take it’s course, i went in and added some lines of details to really bring out the illusion of it all.

it turned out pretty trippy, and i’m very much down for that.
